• Pressure under water is due to the weight of the column of water above an object pushing down on it
• Pressure in gas is due to the particles colliding with the walls of its container

  • Decrease volume
  • Add more gas

• The higher your altitude the less dense the atmosphere becomes, meaning the lower the pressure
