When graphing velocity, we use the
distance-time
graph
Notice that in the graph (attached) between points A and B, the object travels at a
constant
speed, and from B to C it has
stopped.
Between points C and D, the direction
changed.
If the slope is positive, then the object is moving
forward
; if negative,
backward.
From point A to B, the object was traveling in one direction
away
from the starting point.
From points C to D, the line goes down from 50 meters to 40 meters and so on, until it returns to where it started
