  • When graphing velocity, we use the distance-time graph
  • Notice that in the graph (attached) between points A and B, the object travels at a constant speed, and from B to C it has stopped.
  • Between points C and D, the direction changed.
  • If the slope is positive, then the object is moving forward; if negative, backward.
  • From point A to B, the object was traveling in one direction away from the starting point.
  • From points C to D, the line goes down from 50 meters to 40 meters and so on, until it returns to where it started
