  the smallest total value
• what does n1 mean?

  no. of ppts
• what does it mean when the observed value is greater than or equal to the critical value?

  the results -> NOT significant so null hypothesis = accepted + alternative = rejected
• what does it mean when the critical value is greater or equal to the observed value?

  the results -> significant so null hypothesis = rejected + alternative = accepted
