What are bacteria made of?
-cell wall
-circular chromosome

What are sub-clinical infections?
infections hard to diagnose because no symptoms
What is Pathogenicity?
The ability of a microorganism to cause disease.
What is Virulence?
The ability of a pathogen to cause disease.
What is Opportunistic?
do not cause disease but can do so when defence mechanisms are compromised.
What are the differences between exotoxins and endotoxins?
exotoxins are secreted by living cells and endotoxins are liberated when the cell wall disintegrates
What is Bacteraemia?
Presence of bacteria in the blood
What is Septicaemia?
Blood infection.
