Peyer's patches - found in the wall of the small intestines, prevents bacteria from penetrating the intestinal wall
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) - includes Peyer's patches, tonsils, and appendix; acts as a sentinel to protect respiratory and digestive tracts
