  • soils
  • vegetation
• they are identified with patterns of ecological succession and climax vegetation.
• temperate deciduous forests are found in the British Isles.

  they have trees that lose their leaves.

  they're found in Europe and the USA.

  they have mild and wet weather, with a temperate maritime climate.

  deciduous trees are favoured by the UK's moist maritime climate.
