Levels of Data

• Types of Data:

  • Not all data are created equally
  • Data can be qualitative or quantitative
  • Quantitative data can be continuous or categorical (a.k.a. discrete)
  • You need to know the type of quantitative data you have and what level of measurement it is before deciding on your statistical analysis
