Fissures

• Right lung fissures

  • Horizontal fissure – from rib 4 anteriorly then horizontally to meet oblique fissure (separates the Right Upper Lobe and Right Middle Lobe)

  
• Right lung fissures

  • Oblique fissure – from T3 posteriorly, crossing the 5th rib at the mid axillary line to 6th rib anteriorly (MCL)

  
• Left lung fissure

  • Oblique fissure – from T3 posteriorly, crossing the 5th rib in the mid axillary line to 6th rib anteriorly (MCL)
