  • A set is an unordered collection of distinct objects, called elements or members of the set.
  • Set - It use capital letters to identify a set like A, B, C, etc.
  • A set can be finite or infinite.
  • Use ellipses (…) to represent general pattern elements and infinite elements.
  • A finite set refers to a set that contains a specific, or countable number of elements.
  • An infinite set refers to a set that has an uncountable or infinitely large number of elements.
  • Types of Infinite Set:
    • Countable Infinite
    • Uncountable Infinite
  • Countable Infinite The set of natural numbers (N), integers (Z) and rational numbers (Q).
  • Uncountable infinite The set of real numbers (R). The set of irrational numbers.
