  • Slide- a single page of a presentation in a slide show; usually comes with placeholders
  • Slide placeholder- sections of a slide that can be clicked to replace the blank boxes in the position of content
  • Accent color- emphasis color
  • Color scheme- an arrangement of a color palette for a design
  • presentation theme- a predefined combination of fonts, colors, and effects that can be accessed through the themes section of the design tab
  • slide sorter view- shows thumbnail version of the slides
  • reading view- a preview of what the slides would look like in a presentation
  • slide show view- runs slides as they will appear during a presentation — to access, press F5
  • presentation transitions- a special effect to smoothly move between slides; accessed via transitions tab and has three types
  • three types of transitions: subtle, dynamic, exciting
    • subtle transitions- the most basic and simplistic animations to transition
    • exciting transitions- these use more complex animations to transition between slides
    • dynamic content transitions- only moves placeholders rather than the slides
