Nerve Entrapment

• Nerve Entrapment:

  • Repetitive low injury OR high force trauma to soft tissue surrounding nerves
  • This can create scar tissue, which reduces smooth excursion of the nerve
• Nerve Entrapment - Nerve irritation can be caused by:

  • Pelvic masses e.g. tumour
  • Weightlifting belts
  • Pregnancy
  • Thigh contusion
  • Surgery
  • Falls/fractures
  • Overstretching
