photosynthesis produces glucose using light energy from the sun
it takes place in the chloroplast in the plant cell - they contain chlorophyll that absorbs light
photosynthesis is endothermic because it requires energy from the environment
carbon dioxide + water - glucose + oxygen
plants uses glucose for respiration - this transfers energy from glucose which enables plant to grow
glucose are used to make cellulose - used to make plant cell walls
glucose are used to make amino acids - glucose combine with nitrate ions to make amino acids which are then made into proteins
glucose are stored as oils or fats - they are turned into lipids for storing in seeds
glucose are also stored as starch - stored in the roots, stem and leaves to use when photosynthesis isnt happening . starch in insoluble so its better for storing then glucose as it wont draw in loads of water and swell
