• There are 3 forms;

  • Sonata
  • Concerto
  • Symphony
• Sonata - solo instrument also as "sonare" which means to make a sound
• Concerto - Instrumental soloist and an orchestra

  (violin, cello, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, and piano)
• Symphony - multi movement work for an orchestra. From the word "Sinfonia" which is harmonies sound together
