• synaptic transmissions is a process of a nerve impulse passing across the synaptic cleft from one neurone to another.
• any neurone transmissions left in the synaptic cleft are reuptaked
• along the axon the action potential travels from the pre synaptic neurone to the end of the neurone.at the end of this neurone are synaptic vesicles.these contain neurotransmitters which are chemical messages.when the action potential reaches the synaptic vesicles,neurotransmitters are released.the neurotransmitters carry signal across to the post synaptic cell across the synaptic gap.then,the neurotransmitters left in the synaptic cleft are reuptaked.
