    MANUSCRIPT SPEECH
  • is the rote recitation of a written message that the speaker has committed to memory. It is fully prepared in advance and one in which the speaker does not use any notes.
    MEMORIZED SPEECH
  • The presentation of a carefully planned and rehearsed speech, spoken in a conversational manner using brief notes. Speakers prepare some notes in advance that help trigger their memory of what they plan to say.
    extemporaneous speech
  • The speaker delivers a speech with little to no preparation. The speaker is commonly provided with the topic in the form of a quotation, object, proverb, picture, or one of the many alternative possibilities.
