• how is housing material dperivation?

  • overcrowding - no room to study/ do hw , ruined sleep
  • temporary housing = leading to disturbed education form moving a lot
  • overcrowding = lead to risk of getting ill/hurt = asdbence form school
• diet and helath?

  • poorest homes would not have enough vitamins and minerals
  • lease lots of absences in school
• cultural capital?

  • Bourdieau states two capital that make middle class success
  • Middle class both cultural capital/ecomnic capital ( goes to private schools )
  • Results: increase academic attainment
  • working-class can’t afford this , therefore unachieved
• finanaces of education?


  • cost of equipment , books , resources etc becomes a burden for working class families
  • Results: lead to them buying cheaper equipment/ not wear the correct clothes
  • Lead to bullying /isolation = lack of achievement
• Fear of debts?

  • fear of debts and students less likely to go to uni in working class
  • Results: lead to them to going to uni = less achievement they could have gotten
