prejudice and discrimination

• stereotype is an (over)generalized belief about a group of people that are sometimes accurate. (attitudes)
• people interpret stereotypes as they align with stereotypes
• prejudice is an unjustifiable, usually negative, beliefs towards a person/group (attitude)
• stereotypes leads to prejudice which leads to discrimination
• discrimination is unfair treatment of individuals/group based on prejudices (behavior) this acts out prejudice
