Poetry: waking away

• A B A C A rhyme scheme
• It is eighteen years ago, almost to the day
• Like a satellite wrenched from its orbit
• God alone could perfectly show -
• Like a winged seed loosened from its parental stem
• None that so gnaws at my mind still
