• Media Industries are dominated by a small concentrated amount of very large companies such as the film industry which is dominated by Disney,Fox and Time Warner.
• The result of this is that the products they make are very similar or repetitive.

  There is a lack of diversity and creativity and this is because big companies care about profit and power.

  Independent companies however can make more diverse creative and niche

  products.
• The BBC is a huge media industry that dominates UK television. Hence we see familiar themes of crime drama, that are present in No Offence, in other programmes such as Line of Duty and Happy Valley.
• • The idea that the media is controlled by a small number of companies primarily driven by the logic of profit and power.
• Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" arguably defies this theory. It includes many unconventional unique features to Country music, such as the use of a synthesizer and a rap verse.
