• 5.1. Photosynthesis

  • Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight, water and carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen
  • It occurs in a series of steps but the overall reaction is6C02 + 6H20 → C6H1206 + 602
  • The plant then stores the glucose until it is needed to release energy in the form of ATP during respiration.
• Products from glycolysis:

• Products of link reaction of 2 reactions

• Last stage of respirations makes 36 ATP molecules
