Controlling body temp

• the thermoregulatory centre (in the hypothalamus) controls how temp is maintained
• the thermoregulatory centre has receptors that are responsive to temp changes of the blood
• the skin has temp receptors that are responsive to external temp stimuli, this info is sent to the brain as impulses along sensory neurons
