filtration + selective reabsorption

• blood is transported to kidneys through the renal artery and filtered at high pressure ther
• glucose, salt ions and water is absorbed back into the body (selective reabsorption)
• when the blood is filtered it returns to the body via the renal vein
• waste materials from filtration (urea) are dissolved in water forming urine
• urine is carried along the ureter to the bladder, when filled the urine exits via urethra
