• the more dense object is the one with more particles in a set space
• density formula:

  DENSITY = MASS / VOLUME
• SOLIDS: HIGH DENSITY

  • strong bonds
  • can't compress or flow
• LIQUIDS: MEDIUM DENSITY

  • move in random directions
  • slide over one another
  • little space but more than solids
  • weak bonds
  • cant compress but flow
• GASES: LOW DENSITY

  • move in random directions, various speeds
  • large space between particles
  • no bonds
  • can compress and flow
