• aim:

  • measure the density of regular and irregular objects
• REGULAR METHOD:

  • measure dimensions of the regular solid in mm then convert to m
  • calculate the volume of it in m^3
  • measure the mass using a top pan balance, in kg
  • calculate the density with the equation
• IRREGULAR METHOD:

  • add water to measuring cylinder and measure the volume
  • carefully put object in without splashing
  • record new volume, take away to find object volume
  • take its mass (dry) on top pan balance
  • calculate density
