What are the qualifications set out in the Juries Act 1974 to serve as a juror?
Must be aged between 18 and 75
Must be on the electoral roll
Must be a UK resident for at least 5 years since their 13th birthday
How has the qualifying age to serve as a juror been changed?
The age you must be to serve as a juror was increased from 18 - 70 to 18 - 75, and this was increased by the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015.
