Cards (4)
When is the
central
executive used?
When detailing with
difficult mental
tasks such as
problem solving
These cognitively demanding tasks require lots of attention.
Like the (older) concept of STM...........?
the central executive is seen as having a
limited capacity
and potentially only being able to deal with
one strand
of
information
at a time
Therefore, it
processes
information in
all sensory forms
, directs it ot the
slave systems
and collects
responses.
