• GENOME: All genetic information (DNA) of an organism

• ALLELES: Alternative forms of Gene that code for different variations of specific trait
• CHROMOSOMES: Carries genetic information (DNA) in a packaged and organised structure in functional pairs in Nucleus
• RECESSIVE: variant of a gene which requires two copies of the allele to be expressed as the phenotype
• Dominant: variant of a gene which only requires one copy to be expressed in the phenotype
• Phenotype: an organism's expressed or observable characteristics due to interactions of the genotype and environment
• Genotype: the combination of alleles someone possesses for a specific gene and determines the phenotype.
• Heterozygous: Having two different alleles of a particular gene
• Homozygous: Having two identical alleles of a particular gene
