Asean Trade in Good Agreement (ATIGA) aims to achieve free flow of goods in the region resulting in lesstradebarriers and deeper economic linkages among Member States, lower business costs, increased trade, and a larger market and economies of scale for businesses.
ASEAN comprises 10 member states: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement was signed on 26 February 2009, consolidating all existing provisions under the CEPT-AFTA Agreement.
ATIGA Signed in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Its primary goal is to facilitate the flow of goods within the ASEAN region, by providing a comprehensive framework aimed at reducing trade barriers among ASEANMemberStates (AMS).
