• Endocrine System - hormonal system
• Hormones are produced, released and transported in blood
• Pituitary Gland [master gland] - fsh, lh, adh, gh
• Thyroid - thyroxin
• Adrenal Gland - Adrenaline
• Pancreas - insulin, glucogon
• Ovary - gonad, oestrogen, progesterone
• Testes - gonad, testosterone
• Gonad - glands that produce reproductive hormones
• ADH - regulate blood concentration via osmoregulation at nephron
• Leutinizing Hormone (LH) - produces sex hormones, produces sperm and ripens eggs
• Follide Stimulating Hormone (FSH) - produces sex cells in ovaries and testes
• Growth Hormone (GH) - stimulates growth, excess results in gigantism, deficiencies result in dwarfism
• Thyroxin - regulates metabolism, hyperthyrodism, hypothyrodism
• Adrenaline - increases heart rate and blood pressure (fight or flight)
• Insulin - decreases blood sugar
• Glucogon - increases blood sugar
• Testosterone - sperm production
• Oestrogen - egg production
