The first atmosphere was probably thick with
water vapor
, along with various compounds released by volcanic eruptions including;
Nitrogen
and
its
oxides
(
N2
)
Co2
Methane
(
CH4
)
Ammonia
(
NH3
)
Hydrogen
(
H2
)
Little
amount
of
O2
That atmosphere then turned to be a reducing one.
Later Earth was cooled down and the water vapor condensed into the ocean. Much of the hydrogen escaped into the space.
Environmentally conditions of early earth favored the synthesis of
organic
molecules essential for origin of life were
;
Volcanic eruptions
Lightning
Extreme UV radiation
Hydrothermal vents
Alkaline vents
and
reducing atmosphere
