LAS 3 - Development of Typhoon

• Tropical Cyclone - a low pressured system that turns over a tropical ocean brings wind and thunderstorms
• Other names of tropical cyclone in differnt places:

  Hurricane, Typhoon & Cyclone
• Most air rises from the ocean surface, creating a low pressure area (LPA) near the ocean surface
• Air from surrounding high pressure areas (HPA) rushes towards the low pressure area
• Condensation is the process by which water vapor in the air is changed in the liquid water
• Evaporation is the process that changes liquid water to gaseuos water (water vapor)
