  • Meteors are meteoroids that enter Earth's atmosphere and burn up
  • Meteroids are solid, rockline objects from space that revoke around the sound, they are also found on the asteroid belt
  • Asteroid belt is the gap or area between the planets mars and jupiter
  • Comets are chunks of ice, gas and dust that orbits the sun in a long, narrow eliptical orbit
  • 3 Parts of a Comet: Nucleus, Coma & Tail
  • Nucleus - is the whole comet, but as it approaches the sun, it warms and glows
  • Coma - forms around the nucleus. The nucleus and the coma make up the head of the comet
  • Tail - form when wind blows the dust and gases heated by the sun
  • Famous comets: Hailey's Comet (appears once every 76 years)
