Follows this principle as D must intend serious harm
UAM
Doesn't follow principle as offence does not require any recognition from D of killing or even harming V
S20 OAPA 1861
D must cause GBH or wounding, but needs to intend or see risk in some harm
Murder
Doesn't follow principle as to be found guilty, D must unlawfully kill someone, but can be guilty with implied malice aforethought, meaning D only needs to intend to cause serious harm (R v Vickers)
