  • Tactics- broke Hindenburg line and forced Germans into retreat with combined arms
  • Generalship- doullens conference, Fawk appointed to coordinate all allied forces- allows combined arms to have an impact in 1918s final push, compared to the start of the period where they weren't coordinated at all
  • Quality of soldiers- did learn more complex manoeuvres by end
  • Industrialisation/resources- German blockade effective, put pressure to stop the war- made 5000 tanks to their 20
  • Ability to wage total war- Allies had far stronger economic base (intro of America)
