  • Search engine is a website where you are able to search anything that is interconnected to the internet.
  • Web browsers connect you to the internet.
  • You cannot search using the web browsers, we need websites/search engines.
  • We type alphanumeric numbers using our keyboard.
  • Network - Interconnection of two or more computers that has the ability to share data, information, and resources
  • What are the parts of a computer?
    Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, System Unit
  • CPU is the brain of the computer, and is therefore inside the computer in the motherboard.
  • Input - enter data or information
  • Output - displays informationĀ 
  • Storage Device - stores information
  • ICT has 3 parts?
    Hardware, Software, Peoplewear
  • Hardware - what you might see inside the System Unit. Physical system.
  • Software - anything that you install inside your PC. (Operating systems)
  • Peoplewear - Users of the computer.
  • There are file extensions that serve their own purpose.
  • Softwares is needed to open or access file extensions.
  • What are the types of data?
    Alphanumeric data
    Audio data
    Video data
    Image data
  • Alphanumeric Data - there are letters and numbers.
  • Audio Data - sounds. (File name.file extension. Ex: Minnielove.mp3)
  • Video Data - displays video.
  • Image Data - composes what you see in the computer.
  • Codec - is installed to be able to access files regardless of its file extensions.Ā 
  • The history of computers is rapidly changing and increasing the more we use it.
  • Once I input it, it will convert it into a binary, then using electric current, the information will be displayed.
  • OPAC contains the possible sources of information. The fiber optic cables or wires are underwater.Ā 
  • Input - something that we need.
  • Output - what we want.Ā 
  • Verification - starts with the user
  • Storing - process of storing/saving data.
  • What are the devices in which you can store information?
    SD card, USB Flashdrive, Cloud/Google Drive
