    Family needs - families with children vs no children have different needs
    Personal tastes and preferences- based on style, colour, function and personal taste

    So the business can provide a product or service that the customer will actually want, in order to make a profit
  • Why are customers needs different for different products?
    It depends on the circumstance, e.g. the customer may value price and quality than convenience
