• June 1934 = Night of the long knives.
• August 1934 = Hitler becomes president.
• Unemployment dropped from 4.8 million in 1933 to 0.5 million in 1938.
• 0.5% of reports came from Gestapo observations.
• 80% of gestapo investigations stemmed from voluntary denunciation.
• Nazi ownership of the media grew from 3% in 1933 to 69% in 1939.
