• procreative end of marriage requires spouses to remain together as long as they are alive

  nature intends them to do this as the natural law requires it
• 'the inseparability of marriage belongs to the law of nature'
• How is the Divine Law reflected in relationships?

  'be fruitful and multiply'
• Primary precepts argue that the best place for procreation is in marriage to provide the right place for children and sex
• Does not condone extramarital relationships because it undermines divine, human and natural laws, and the misuse of sex
• Premarital sex in a long-term relationship if the intention is to fulfil the primary precept of procreation
