Hyperplasia and Neoplasms

• Hyperplasias and neoplasms are both overgrowth of cells that cause an increase in the size of the tissue, but differ on the cause and extent of their growth.
• Hyperplasia occurs in response to a stimulus and the growth stops when the stimuli stops.
