Consumer Rights

• The short term right to reject (s20) within 30 days (s22) if the goods are not of satisfactory quality (s9), fit for purpose (s10), or match description (s11).
• This applies to services as well if they are not performed with reasonable care and skill (s49) and within a reasonable time (s52).
• Between 30 days to 6 months there is the right to repair or replacement (s23) and a price reduction or final right to reject (s24).
• Remedies relating to services also include the right to require repeat performance (s55) and the right to price reduction (s56).
