THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - is used to lay down a foundation of theory on which your study will be built.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - is used to lay down a foundation of theory on which your study will be built.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK - In quantitative research, a conceptual framework can be used to SYNTHESIZE the literature and theoretical concepts at the beginning of the study TO PRESENT A MODEL that will be tested in the statistical analysis of the research.
conceptual framework - includes KEY CONCEPTS, VARIABLES, RELATIONSHIPS, and ASSUMPTIONS that guide the academic inquiry. It ESTABLISHES THE THEORETICAL UNDERPINNINGS and PROVIDES LENS through which researchers can analyze and interpret data.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - A foundational REVIEW of existing theories.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - Serves as a ROADMAP or BLUEPRINT for developing arguments and supporting research
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - OVERVIEW of the theory that the research is based on.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - Can be made up of THEORIES, PRINCIPLES, and CONCEPTS
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK - Explains the WHY and HOW of a particular phenomenon within a particular body of literature
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY - This section details the CONTRIBUTION or BENEFITS that your study provides to different people and organizations, including the academe and other sectors of society.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY - A study’s significance should SPARK THE INTEREST of the reader.
The Significance of the Study can be written in two formats: TOPICALARRANGEMENT and ENUMERATIONFORMAT
TOPICAL ARRANGEMENT - Done in PARAGRAPHS and based on the WEIGHT OF THE INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTIONS.
ENUMERATION FORMAT - Details must be arranged ACCORDING TO BENEFECIARIES. Below are some of the parties that may benefit from your study.
DEFINITIONOFTERMS - a list of important words or acronyms that a researcher needs to delineate, to fully explain or present the thesis or research study.
DEFINITION OF TERMS - The way it is written could considerably affect how the reader will understand the research. The list will likely include terms that are not widely known outside the researcher’s discipline
Two (2) Types of Defining Terms: OperationalDefinition and ConceptualDefinition
Operational Definition - these terms should be clearly defined according to how they are used in the study for easy understanding of the problem and to avoid ambiguous meanings to terms that can be otherwise interpreted in different ways.
Conceptual Definition - there are cases when you have to define terms based on actual concepts, that is, based on what has been accepted as the definition as used by experts in the area.
scopeanddelimitation - describes the parameters to which the study is set. It sets the boundaries of your research in terms of certain aspects.
SCOPE - The coverage or boundary of the study in terms of area.
DELIMITATION - These are statements that alert the reader of the research report to certain conditions which are beyond the control of the researcher.
DELIMITATION - Stating the limitations provides the reader caution not to expect beyond what the study can and promises to deliver.
Recreational activities - are experiences or organized activities that you actively participate in with others, to have fun and enjoy life during your free time.
