BIOLOGY- Cells

• The nucleus is the control center of the cell and contains the cell's genetic material.
• The cytoplasm is where most chemical reactions take place and contains enzymes that control the chemical reactions.
• The cell membrane controls what goes in and out of the cell.
• Mitochondria is where most of the reactions for aerobic respiration take place.
• Ribosomes are where proteins are made in the cell.
• A cell wall provides support and strength to the cell.
• A permanent vacuole contains cell sap, a weak solution of sugar & salts.
• Chloroplasts are where photosynthesis occurs, which make chlorophyll.
• Animal cells : Nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, mitochondria and ribosomes
• Plant cell : all bits of animal cells & cell wall, vacuole and chloroplasts
• Eukaryotic - complex, animal and plant cells
• Prokaryotic - small & simpler, bacteria cells
• Bacteria cell : cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell wall, dont have a true nucleus only a singular strand of DNA, small rings of DNA called plasmids
