White blood cells

• White Blood Cells are also called leukocytes are aeven more variable than bone cells
• Monocytes (make up 5% of leukocytes)engulf and destroy phatogens in tissues
• eosinophils( make up 2% of leukocytes) attack larger parasites and set off allergic responses
• Basophils (make up 1% of leukocytes) release protiens called histamines that are involved in inflamation
• Lymphocytes (make up 30% of leukocytes) include B cells and T cells
• B cells produce antibodies against non-self-antigens
•  T cells destroy virus-infected cells and cancer cells
