☺️continuity hypothesis- minnesoda parent child study- followed children from infancy to late adolescence, children securely attached were highest rated for social competence later in life, less isolated
☺️multiple attachment vs monotropy- prior and glazier found evidence for hierarchy model (Bowlby's model) over multiple attach model. However multiple attach and monotropy still similar- Bowlby argues secondary attachments are still important for development but primary ones are prerequisites to healthy development.
☹️sensitive not critical- attachments may still be able to be formed after 6 mths, it is just less likely (Rutter et al)
☹️temperament hypothesis- babies with an easy temperament are easier to form secure attachments with- explained bc of infant behaviour (Kagan)
