HELIOCENTRIC THEORY- This theory states that the sun is the center of the solar system and earth along with the other planets, orbit the sun.
GEOCENTRIC THEORY- People believed that the earth was the center of the Solar System and the moon, sun and other planets revolved around the Earth.
MOMENTUM- It is a property of a moving object that makes it hard to stop.
NEWTON’S SECOND LAW OF MOTION- The law states that the acceleration of an object equals the net force acting on the object divided by the object’s mass.
ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES- These are waves that consist of vibrating electric and magnetic fields.
WEIGHT- It is a measure of the force of gravity pulling down on an object
LAW OF INERTIA- States that an object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless it is acted on by an unbalanced force
PROJECTILE MOTION- It occurs whenever an object curves down toward the ground because it has both a horizontal force and the downward force of gravity acting on it
NEWTON’S THIRD LAW OF MOTION- This law states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction
ARISTARCHUS OF SAMOS- He is the first person to say out loud that Earth wasn’t the center of everything and that it was actually the sun.
MOTION- It is the phenomenon in which an object changes its position with respect to time.
ACCELERATION- It is a rate at which velocity changes with time, in terms of both speed and direction.
INERTIA- It is the tendency of an object to resist a change in its motion
FORCE- It is a pull or push that acts upon an object as a result of that objects interactions with its surroundings.
