Uses of plant hormones

• Auxin:

  • can stimulate growth (rooting powder)
  • Can kill weeds (selective weedkillers)
• Gibberellin:

  1. Induce germination
  2. Induce flowering
  3. Growing larger fruit
• Ethene:

  stimulates ripening of fruit (stimulates enzyme)
