  • Thyroxine is produced by the thyroid gland located above the neck
  • If Thyroxine levels are too low..
    • The Pituitary gland released TSH
    • Then stimulates the Thyroid gland to release more thyroxine
    • Thyroxine levels go back up
  • If Thyroxine levels are too high...
    • The Thyroxine gland inhibits the Pituitary gland from producing TSH
    • Less TSH = Less Thyroxine
    • Thyroxine levels go back to normal
