Ovarian cycle

• Primordial follicle - a follicle that has not yet reached the antrum (DAY 1)
• granulosa cells (outer) - provide nutrients and hormones
• Primary follicle - increased the size of the egg cell (DAY 2)
• zone pellucida - act as the protection once egg cell is released
• pre-antral follicle - developing antrum a further growth of the follicle( DAY 3)
• Early antral follicle - antrum increased in size (DAY 4)
• Mature follicle - antrum became larger and the follicle became filled with fluid (DAY 5)
• corpus luteum - inhibin, inhibits the production of FSH
• FSH : THE FOLLICLE TO DEVELOPE
