Learning

• Assumptions:

  1.We are born as a blank slate.

  2.If behaviours can be learnt it can be unlearnt by altering the environment.

  3.Behaviour is determined by the environment; we do not have freewill.
• Determinism – environment dictates our behaviours not free will.  

  Reductionism – behaviour is explained with just environmental stimuli-response, other factors are not considered.

  Scientific – lab experiments are used, objective, replication is possible, high internal validity
