    For example , Arachnophobia - have a large spider crawl over them for a long period of time

    Extinction - Learned response is extinguished when the conditioned stimulus ( dog ) is encountered without the unconditioned stimulus ( being bitten )
    • Results is that the conditioned stimulus ( dog ) no longer produced the conditioned response ( fear )
